Patrick Gniadek is SVP of Investments at AvalonBay Communities and oversees all transaction activity nationally. Patrick graduated from Indiana University in 1991 and worked as an accountant in the real estate industry for the first five years of his career before transitioning to investing and asset management. Since joining the company in 2007, Patrick has overseen the acquisition of over $1B in assets in addition to managing a $1B+ annual disposition platform.

Prior to joining AvalonBay Communities, Patrick was an Acquisition Partner and Area Vice President for JPI, handling multi-family acquisition and redevelopment activity for various East Coast and Southeast markets. Patrick has acquired over $5B in residential property through the course of his career.
Originally from the Chicago area, Patrick is now based on the East Coast with offices in Arlington and Fort Lauderdale. He is married with three sons and used to enjoy baseball but is currently looking for new hobbies heading into retirement.
