Mr. Anderson-Mitterling has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, with a breadth of expertise in asset management, structured finance, and development. He has arranged over $5 billion in structured real estate financing, specializing in complex capital structures spanning joint venture equity, sub-debt, and senior debt instruments.
In addition to his advisory work, Michael has acquired and developed more than $300 million in real estate projects throughout the City of St. Louis over the past decade. His most recent developments include $140 million across three multifamily projects—two ground-up and one adaptive re-use—with entitlements and incentives secured.
Michael graduated from USC’s Marshall School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree, concentrating in Corporate Finance and Commercial Real Estate Finance. He also competed full-time on the U.S. National Sailing Team, serving as an alternate for the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
He was named “Rookie of the Year” at Grubb & Ellis in 2010 and a “Star to Watch” by CPE in 2017. Michael and his wife are actively involved in the Wendy Walk Foundation, a nonprofit that has raised over $2.5 million for sarcoma cancer research.
