What information/data will I need to apply?

The complete nomination form, including all questions and word limits, is available for download here. Please note that this is for preparation purposes only. Final entries must be submitted online, via the nomination portal.

Who is eligible for nomination?

The form is open to any individual, team or organization whose primary business is in senior housing and/or healthcare real estate, and related fields, such as law, research, design and consulting.

Can I nominate myself?

Yes. We accept self-nominations, as well as third-party submissions.

How many nominees can I submit?

A submitter can nominate as many candidates as they wish for this recognition. If nominating individuals, please submit no more than five nominees per company. If nominating a team or company, please include only leaders and key members. We encourage you to limit your entries to those who have made indelible impacts on the business.

Is there a fee to apply?

No. Submission to this, as well as all of our editorial content, is free.

I was selected as a Healthcare / Senior Housing Influencer last year. Can I apply again this year?

To avoid redundancy, we try to vary the Influencers that we profile from year-to-year, however, this is limited to the type of nomination that you are submitting. For instance, if your organization or team was previously selected as a Healthcare or Senior Housing Influencer, you may submit again this year as an individual. Conversely, if you were previously chosen as an individual Influencer, you may be nominated as part of a team or company, this year. In either case, your nomination must include updated information that does not mirror the previous year’s submission.

How and when will the 2023 Influencers be notified of their selection?

Editorial staff will send email notifications to the chosen Influencers and their submitters by mid-September. Due to the high volume of nominations that we receive, only those selected will be notified.

How will the 2023 Influencers in Healthcare & Senior Housing be recognized?

The Influencers in Healthcare and Senior Housing will be profiled in the November/December 2023 issue of GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum, which will be distributed in early December. Influencers will additionally gain recognition on GlobeSt.com.

What if my nominee assumes a new role with a different company after the submission deadline?

By submitting a nomination, you are agreeing that should your nominee be selected as a 2023 Healthcare & Senior Housing Influencer, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com have the right to include them in the 2023 Influencers in Healthcare and Senior Housing recognition, regardless of whether or not the nominee has changed companies or positions by the time of publication. That said, for accuracy purposes, you may reach out to Ingrid Tunberg regarding a small update to the nominee’s bio, stating that they have since taken on a new role (time permitting).

How does the judging process work?

Upon the submission deadline, GlobeSt.’s seasoned editorial team carefully reviews each nomination without bias. The team of judges works diligently to select the industry’s most influential professionals, teams and companies across a variety of backgrounds and expertise. Per editorial policy, we never subject to a pay-to-play judging model. The judges base their decisions on an array of factors and consider each nominee's different accomplishments, whether that be in their role, through industry contributions, innovations, etc.

How do I increase my chances of being selected?

Be as descriptive, yet concise as possible. Sounds redundant, but it’s simple. Provide details on why you think your nominee should be chosen as an Influencer, but leave out the fluff, like marketing content and self-congratulatory comments. Don’t hide the items of importance within pages of trivialities. Support your entry and statements with backup information—we love facts and figures.
