Kristin Ellingsen, CHID, IIDA, EDAC, is an interior designer located in Southern California with 25 years of healthcare design experience. She has worked for hospitals, design firms, her own firm and is currently a healthcare specialist with Office Furniture Group’s (OFG) Healthcare Division. OFG is a member of the Enterprise Development Group (EDG) for the Innovation Institute, a healthcare innovation solutions incubator based in Southern California, focused on transforming care delivery.
In addition to numerous design projects for Kaiser Permanente and HCA-owned hospitals in California totaling nearly half million square feet, senior living design includes the renovation of Angelus Plaza in Los Angeles at 1,093 units and over 1m square feet it is the largest subsidized community for low-income seniors in the United States.
Kristin works directly with owners, facilities, architects and designers to provide aesthetically pleasing and functionally appropriate furniture for healthcare locations. A board member of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers since 2017 she is currently Treasurer and President-Elect for 2020.
