Peter Becronis is a founding partner of Inception Property Group.
Inception Property Group, with offices in downtown Los Angeles and in the Pacific Northwest, focuses on investment, design, development, management and leasing across the continuum of care. Inception’s recent developments include Ostium Medical Hub (formerly Downtown West Medical), a 380,000 square foot outpatient healthcare campus in downtown Los Angeles, which has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, on the front page of the Los Angeles Business Journal, and profiled or referenced in other national and regional media coverage, in addition to having been toured by the AIA and being the recipient of several design award nominations. Inception Property Group additionally advises care providers on their portfolio growth strategies. Inception’s senior leadership has experience managing a healthcare asset portfolio of just under 30 million square feet for the nation’s largest HMO, Kaiser Permanente.
Peter is a recognized expert in healthcare development, having been both panel moderator and panelist on healthcare design and development panels at national and regional healthcare summit events. Peter has also been interviewed on healthcare development trends on National Public Radio.
Prior to forming Inception’s predecessor firm in 2014, Peter managed the real estate strategy and resultant transactions for Kaiser Permanente for half of the south portion of California for eight years. While at Kaiser Permanente, Peter managed 29 capital acquisitions of land and buildings totaling 924,000 sq.ft with a value of $168 Million dollars, from the initial strategy through close of escrow. Peter was on the internal development teams of several of Kaiser’s hospital campus developments as well as six off-campus medical office developments and three major adaptive reuse projects. Peter also lead Kaiser’s national design/build initiative. Peter was the recipient of multiple cost-savings and performance excellence awards.
Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Peter served as Vice President of Asset Management for Apex Realty (2001-2006), a general partner and manager of over 20 real estate syndicates in several states as well as a developer of healthcare, multifamily and retail. Peter managed Apex’s development of an 80-unit multifamily luxury apartment building in downtown Los Angeles (through groundbreaking), a 17-provider build-to-suit medical office building for San Bernardino County’s Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and several retail developments.
Prior to Apex Realty, Peter managed the operations of Asbury Properties (1991-2001), a private real estate syndicate invested in commercial and multifamily properties, where Peter lead Asbury’s internal asset management and leasing operations.
In the late 1990’s, Peter was elected to two terms of office on the City of Los Angeles’ Community Development Agency’s Project Area Committee for the Westlake/Pico-Union areas.
Peter has nearly three decades in commercial real estate development, negotiations, asset management, equity sourcing and portfolio strategy.
