Jennifer Trent is experienced in a wide range of commercial real estate disciplines. However, she has chosen property and asset management as her specialty.
Since moving to Southeast Florida in 2001 she has overseen the management of office complexes, industrial buildings, marinas and retail centers in multiple markets, mainly tertiary, for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT), institutional clients and third-party management companies. Starting with Equity One REIT, she transitioned to NAI Southcoast in 2005, growing the company from 300,000 square feet under management to over 2,000,000 square feet. In 2019, she became President and Partner of NAI Southcoast and later founded SCP Construction and Development with those same partners.
She has extensive knowledge of the financial, legal, lease administration, construction, risk management and maintenance areas of property and asset management. She has successfully project managed the new construction and re-development of all asset classes and has significant experience in crisis management due to the, at current count, 14 serious hurricanes that have impacted the coasts of Florida. She prides herself on bringing back the idea of customer service to Tenant-Landlord relationships citing that “If a tenant is going to pay for a service, including the leasing of space, then the Landlord should provide the absolute best customer service available to that Tenant. After all CRE is about relationships and the mutual success of all parties involved which in turn, will maximize profits for any owner with this mentality.”
