Tasha Hopper is the Chief Executive Officer at The Hospitals of Providence East Campus. In her previous role, Tasha served as CEO and COO at The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus in El Paso, Texas, a part of the Tenet Healthcare system. Prior to coming to The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus, Tasha was the Interim COO at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus in El Paso, Texas. Prior to that, Tasha was the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus in El Paso, Texas.
Tasha was chosen to serve as the designated leader of a three-year construction project of an acute care teaching hospital that opened in early 2017. Completed on time and below budget, the $200M project represents the first time that Tenet Healthcare, the nation’s 4th largest healthcare provider, has built a new teaching hospital. The hospital is already among the best in the company for patient satisfaction and is exceeding all growth projections. As noted by Tenet Healthcare’s CEO, this is the best opening for any new Tenet hospital. Tasha received the Women of Impact award for 2021. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She is an alumni of the Texas Leadership Academy, a program of leadership women. She has served as mentor and coach for the Tenet Leadership Academy as well. She serves as a preceptor for nursing graduate students from the University of Texas at El Paso. She also serves as a Board Member within a number of community organizations in El Paso, Texas.
Tasha is a nurse with over 25 years of experience. She received both her Bachelors of Nursing Degree and her Masters of Science in Nursing Administration from The University of Texas at El Paso. She and her husband Rob have three children, Madison, Paige and Bobby.
