Sam Harmelech is a commercial real estate professional with experience in various elements of the commercial real estate industry. Currently, Sam is the Vice President of Real Estate & Associate General Counsel of Verano Holdings Corp., where he helps manage and operate the company’s 150+ property, 1,650,000sf+ portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties. The properties include both owned and leased properties. At Verano, Sam, in addition to managing and operating the properties, handles all of the legal transactional work associated with acquiring, leasing, borrowing against, managing, zoning, and constructing those properties.

Previously, Sam was a commercial real estate transactional attorney at Dentons US LLP, a Retail Asset Manager at The Scion Group, and a Lease Restructuring Consultant at Hilco Real Estate. Sam brings a unique perspective to the commercial real estate industry as he has been in the industry as an attorney, investor, and consultant. Sam lives in Chicago with his wife, Esther, and dog, Cecilia (“CeCe”). He enjoys cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams and trying all the best new restaurants the city has to offer.
